The data controller responsible for processing your personal data on this website (pursuant to Art. 4 No. 7 GDPR) is the operator identified in our Legal Notice.

2. Data We Collect and How We Use It

When you use Bizvoc, we process data necessary to provide our service (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR):

Account Data: When you register, we collect your email address and encrypted password to create and manage your account.
Learning Data: We store your vocabulary progress and usage history to provide the core functionality of the app.
Log Data: Our servers automatically record information your browser sends, such as IP address, browser type, and time of request, to ensure the security and stability of the app (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

3. Payment Processing via Stripe

If you choose to subscribe to our Premium version, your payment will be processed securely via our payment provider, Stripe. We do not store your credit card details on our servers. Your payment data is transmitted directly to Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. (and potentially Stripe, Inc. in the USA). Stripe processes this data in accordance with their own strict privacy policies. The transfer of data to the US is safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

4. Web Analytics via Microsoft Clarity

We use Microsoft Clarity, a web analytics service provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited, One Microsoft Place, South County Business Park, Leopardstown, Dublin 18, Ireland ("Microsoft"). Clarity helps us understand how BizVoc is actually used — which screens work and where people get stuck — so we can improve them.

Clarity records your interaction with the page: mouse movement, clicks, taps, scrolling, the pages you view, the page that referred you, your IP address, and technical details such as browser, operating system, device type and screen size. From this it reconstructs a replay of your session and aggregates behaviour across users into heatmaps. Text you enter into form fields — including your email address and password — is masked by Clarity and is not transmitted to us or to Microsoft.

For this purpose Clarity stores two cookies on your device, _clck (valid for 1 year) and _clsk (valid for 1 day), which allow your actions to be linked across page views within a session.

Legal basis: We store and read this information on your device, and process the resulting data, only if you have given us your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, § 25(1) TTDSG). Analytics is entirely optional — declining has no effect on your ability to use BizVoc.

Withdrawing your consent: You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, as easily as you gave it. On this website, use the "Cookie settings" link in the footer. In the app, open your Profile page and set Analytics to "Don't allow". Withdrawing removes the Clarity cookies and stops further collection; it does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.

Microsoft acts as our processor on the basis of a data processing agreement and may process data in the United States. Such transfers are safeguarded by Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) and the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

5. Your Rights (GDPR)

As a user residing in the EU or UK, you have the right to request access to, correction, or deletion of your personal data. You may also object to the processing of your data or request data portability.
